Bourne Not Parsifal

Rumour had it that the next film in the Bourne series would be an adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s “The Parsifal Mosaic”. As it turns out, Universal will instead release THE PARSIFAL MOSAIC as an entirely separate entity from the Bourne films. The book revolves around a U.S. intelligence agent who thinks he witnesses the execution of his lover, who was identified as a KGB double agent.
After retiring, he sees her alive at a train station and attempts to find her and unravel a conspiracy. Soon, the agents become involved in an effort to track down Parsifal, a shadowy figure behind a blackmail scheme. Anything with a shadowy figure by the name of Parsifal sounds damn cool to me.

As for our crafty friend Bourne, Universal is working on an original idea for Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass to collaborate on, and give fans a much-anticipated fourth installment in the beloved espionage franchise. Maybe they can still name the villain Parsifal, and make him shadowy, too?
