A pretty lucky scooper for AICN was recently at a Paramount screening of their 2009 slate and filed a mini-report on some of the more high profile films Paramount will unleash on us come next year. Here’s a little snippet about a scene he describes from the Stephen Sommers directed, comic adapted actioner G.I. JOE: “There was a scene where the baroness comes home to France and we got to see the mansion, another scene where a member of GI Joe is captured by COBRA, Chris Eccleston and Arnold Voslo both look on form. Finally we saw a scene which involves a MASSIVE car chase and the eventually toppling of the Eiffel Tower. The film itself look like typical Steven Sommers schtik, massively enjoyable, Sienna Miller looks amazing but I do not think it will fare well with critics, action is very stylised from the scenes I saw, the character development is terrible, Marlon Wayans in particular looked bad!!” Toppling of the Eiffel Tower? Sounds about right. He goes on to mention that the full trailer for Michael Bay’s robot demolition derby TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN will be featured with J.J. Abrams’ reboot, STAR TREK: NO, WILLIAM SHATNER REALLY ISN’T IN IT SO STOP ASKING ALREADY. Read the rest of what he had to say over HERE.
