Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds are having some fun in the international trailer for R.I.P.D.

Maybe you aren’t too thrilled with that you’ve been seeing as far as R.I.P.D. goes. You know what I’m talking about, don’t you? That movie where Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges play undead cops going after creature baddies who just want to destroy the world. Bridges kinda looks like Colonel Sanders? Right?

If you were hoping that another trailer would bring promise of something better than you are going to be rather disappointed. This international trailer shares some new footage for the film as well as some you’ve already seen but it does nothing to in terms of making the movie look better. I feel like this might have had a better shot in the 90s or early 2000s as long as it hit screens before MEN IN BLACK. The whole time I was watching it I thinking what a good Rifftrax candidate it will most likely be. I do enjoy how terribly corny it seems. There’s something sort of funny about how over the top it is.

Synopsis: Based on the Dark Horse mini-series, “R.I.P.D.” (short for “Rest In Peace Department”) is Peter Lenkov’s comedic amalgam of the police and zombie genres featuring two dead police officers whose job it is to help the dead “rest in peace.”

R.I.P.D. starring Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, James Hong, Mary-Louise Parker, Robert Knepper, and Kevin Bacon opens in 3D on July 19, 2013.
