Jen’s Body gets date

JENNIFER’S BODY has been test screening since this summer so when exactly are the rest of us going to see the horror comedy from Oscar-winning writer Diablo Cody? If you were looking forward to it, you might have to look a little further into the future. Fox has announced a September 18th release date for JENNIFER’S BODY; a move that makes you wonder about Fox’s confidence in the film. September is often referred to as a graveyard for movies that studios are looking to dump. Just take a look at this year’s September where RIGHTEOUS KILL, THE WOMEN, MY BEST FRIEND’S GIRL and BANGKOK DANGEROUS opened (to an average Rotten Tomatoes score of 14%). Now it’s not a sure fire thing that the movie is a dud but it’s not a good sign. And remember, in our early test screening review, a JoBlo.com reader gave it a 3/10 and said it was “quite awful.” Then again, I could change my tune if they edited back in that Megan Fox nude scene… What do you think?
