More Joker antics

07.10.2008

If you've read a movie-related website in the past year or so, you might have seen promotion for a Batman movie called THE DARK KNIGHT, sometimes in the form of antagonizing acts of crazed criminal The Joker.

The movie finally arrives next week, but the laughing loon isn't quite done with his taunts, as evidenced by the recently completed countdown over at Joker's sort of "official" site. Click the bomb to check out what he's been doing -- and defacing.

Extra Tidbit: I wonder what the JoBlo news staff will talk about after this movie comes out. Unemployment, maybe.

Halik

Batman took on Deadshot in Batman: Gotham Knight. I wouldn't mind seeing him do it again, since the it wasn't done very well in B:GK, but I doubt they'll bring him back so soon.

My friends and I haven't gotten our TDK tickets yet! I hope there's some left!

part 3

If they went the route of someone like Clayface I could see a huge build up to what he looks like, how he will interact with Bruce's personal life, etc. It could make for some truly amazing developments.

A PUZZLE?

Awesome marketing.
Hey there are puzzle pieces all over the defaced websites, one puzzle piece per website that have alphabets writen on them. What are they? Do they spell something? Why are those pieces there....more viral marketing? I thought they were all done...?

Oh and one more thing. Most daunting foes that Batman could ever face in part 3?

Joel Schumacher and Brett Ratner co-directing.

Nolan Bats part 3

I assume that the third flick will be a hot topic until its release in, I dunno, 2011?

Thing of it is, so much of the hype surrounding TDK has been entirely due to the inclusion of The Joker. By all accounts, the Harvey Dent / Two-Face work in this flick is nothing short of fucking incredible, but that doesn't seem to be of much concern to most people.

I can only assume that he'll be back for part 3, and given that we'll already know what he looks like, TDK will probably include a setup

I can only assume that he'll be back for part 3, and given that we'll already know what he looks like, TDK will probably include a setup for the inclusion of another villain just before the credits roll.

But will the speculation over that villain be anywhere near as fevered as what's surrounded the Joker over the past year or so? No effing way.
