New domestic trailer for Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's Biutiful is beautiful

I've been hearing a lot of positive talk in regards to Alejandro González Iñárritu's (BABEL, AMORES PERROS) latest drama BIUTIFUL. And if this first domestic trailer we're seeing is any indication, then we're in for a very moving drama with gorgeous cinematography, all fueled by what looks to be a truly powerful performance from the great Javier Bardem (he already won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year).

BIUTIFUL opens in limited release on December 29th. Watch the trailer below or in HD over at Apple.

Synopsis: Biutiful is a love story between a father and his children. This is the journey of Uxbal, a conflicted man who struggles to reconcile fatherhood, love, spirituality, crime, guilt and mortality amidst the dangerous underworld of modern Barcelona. His livelihood is earned out of bounds, his sacrifices for his children know no bounds. Like life itself, this is a circular tale that ends where it begins. As fate encircles him and thresholds are crossed, a dim, redemptive road brightens, illuminating the inheritances bestowed from father to child, and the paternal guiding hand that navigates life's corridors, whether bright, bad - or biutiful.

Extra Tidbit: BIUTIFUL's odd title is simply the Spanish phonetic spelling of the English word "beautiful".

One of my favorite directors - look forward to seeing on the screen that Harry Potter hasn't taken over

I prefer to let the movie tell me the story, rather than the trailer. It looks really intriguing, at least visually. I'll surely check it out.

i actually don´t know what to make of this, so, i´ll wait ´till i see the movie to make a constructive critic :P

altough, inarritu always delivers quality films, so, i don´t see why wouldn´t this be another one :)

I was a bit underwhelmed by the trailer, it featured virtually no dialog and no semblance of a story told. I guess it's always the same when it's a trailer from a non-english speaking movie, reduce the talking to a minimum.
Looking forward to a proper trailer.
