Nowhere Boy trailer

Any fan of the Beatles may want to check out this film on the early life of John Lennon.

NOWHERE BOY is based from the book by Lennon’s half-sister, Julia Baird called ‘Imagine This: Growing Up With My Brother John Lennon’. The book talks about Lennon’s life before the Beatles as well as when he first met Paul McCartney.

Aaron Johnson, who is also playing Dave Lizewski in KICK-ASS will be the one channeling John Lennon. The movie will show the years Lennon was raised by his Aunt Mimi (Kristen Scott Thomas). Later he reunites with his biological Mother, Julia (Anne Marie Duff) who sadly was killed in car accident when John was just getting to know her. The adorable kid who played Sam in LOVE ACTUALLY, Thomas Sangster, will be playing McCartney. Sangster’s story with Liam Neeson in LOVE always gets me all choked up.

As the Daughter of a hardcore Beatles fan, I know how sacred the fab four are to their followers. I’m hoping the film does Lennon justice. For the Beatles fans out there, what do you guys think of the trailer? It looks like it might actually turn out to be pretty good. Either way, I’m curious to see it.
