Rodriguez is Fragile

I really do believe that 28 DAYS LATER singlehandedly revived the zombie genre. Don’t believe me? Peep this. Director Eduardo Rodriguez has signed on to direct the zombie pic FRAGILE for Rogue Pictures, according to Variety. The film is based on the graphic novel by Stephano Raffaele after a virus has driven the earth’s population into a pile of zombies. Variety describes the rest of the story as such: “A recently undead soldier then teams with a female zombie and a human teenager, racing against time to find a cure before being hunted down by the soldier’s former military unit.” Am I the only one who that sounds confusing to? Who’s the bad guy here? Why are zombies teaming up with humans? Are they special, human-loving zombies? Do they not want to eat brain? What kind of a zombie doesn’t want to mow on a brain? Let’s get real here. Rodriguez had this to say about the project: “‘Fragile’ gives me the opportunity to explore the horror we’re used to in the genre but set in a unique post-apocalyptic world where zombies aren’t the monsters anymore.” They aren’t? Then who is it? Oh, right, it’s the military. Like I said, 28 DAYS LATER singlehandedly revived the zombie genre.
