Son of Rambow trailer

Shrewdly coinciding with the release of Stallone’s return as killing machine RAMBO comes the trailer for the whimsical British comedy SON OF RAMBOW.

Set in the 80s, the movie revolves around a kid introduced to the wondrous violence of FIRST BLOOD and its action ilk, and his young aspiring filmmaker friend. The film comes from Garth Jennings, half of the vid-directing team Hammer & Tongs and responsible party for the feature adaptation of THE HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY.

The film-fest fave looks like a true treat, but what really gogged my interest is the presence of Jessica Stevenson — she’s the co-star and co-creator of the brilliant Brit show SPACED, the launching pad for the unstoppable triumvirate of Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
