The first four minutes of Lockout are definitely worth your time

There is no doubt that LOCKOUT is going to be fun. TAKEN was dark and serious, but had good action. LOCKOUT adds humor to the mix and gives us a slew of memorable one-liners, all in the first four minutes! Combine that with the clips released recently and it looks like we are in for a very quotable movie.

In case you don’t know, here’s the story: Set in the near future, LOCKOUT follows a falsely convicted ex-government agent (Pearce), whose one chance at obtaining freedom lies in the dangerous mission of rescuing the President’s daughter (Grace) from rioting convicts at an outer space maximum-security prison.

It is TAKEN mixed with ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and that is a compliment of the highest order. Check out the clip below.

LOCKOUT makes me feel like a kid again going to see a movie that is not overhyped and just leaves me feeling like I had fun at the theater. I hope it lives up to my self-created hype. Surprisingly, the movie only got a PG-13 rating despite the rampant language and the dude getting shot in the face in that clip. Hopefully we have not seen all the good parts already.

LOCKOUT opens this Friday.
