The teaser trailer to preview the full trailer was launched last week, along with our exclusive first look at both the motion and static poster for the TOTAL RECALL re-imagining, to be released in August of this year. Today, Apple Trailers launched the first full look at the entire 2:26 minutes of the trailer featuring Colin Farrell in the lead role, alongside hotties such as Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale. I'm usually incredibly skeptical of remakes, but this actually looks pretty great. The original is probably one of the best blockbusters of all time so if this is even half of that I'll be happy.

I was actually impressed by this trailer. It looks like fun and the action looks well made. I don't hold the original up to some sacred candle, so I guess I'm not against this like so many. Plus, I think I just might be one of the few people who actually likes Live Free, Die Hard. Ah well, I enjoyed the trailer, I enjoy the cast, and more Brian Cranston is never a bad thing for me. Looking forward to this.

I've read most of the comments and actually surprised it's been as positive. Yeah there are ones who are gonna hate it because it's a remake of one of Arnold's best. But again, I've followed this since the beginning and am looking forward to the new take on it. Would it be too much to ask during the editing process though if one of those hologram faces Colin goes through is actually one of Arnold? That'd be a nice to what I've already seen are some homeages paid to the original...

you have to remember...

that there is no mars in the originally (very) short story bei P.K.Dick.
And it doesn't look like they will include it in the new movie.
So I'll just watch that as a new Film and not compare it to the Verhoeven one

Remakes...

The Thing from Another World (1951) is a good movie, but if it weren't for remakes, we wouldn't have had John Carpenter's The Thing. Maybe a lot of remakes aren't up to par, but some are worth it. Good Total Recall remake or not; count me in, this looks fun.

As I said before; looks like a kick ass sci-fi action flick but not at all like a good Total Recall remake.

Either way I don't care (even though the original is a straight up classic) as long as it's a good movie.

But why oh why must they always spoil so much material. That whole 1 shot, shoot-out looks very cool but why put it in the fucking trailer?

This looks terrible. I really despair that so many people think it's a great trailer. Aside from Farrell, the acting is so wooden and flat they make Arnold look like Laurence Olivier. I know the original has a very cheesy look to it, but this just looks cheap and bland.

As a huge fan of the original I was skeptical...but after seeing this trailer I am more than pumped to see this movie. Looks like a balls to the wall type of movie, great cast and the visuals look damn good. Definitely getting my money!

I'm not gonna lie...

That looked fun. Taking a decidedly more serious tone than the Arnold movie, but still keeping in touch with the pleasing weirdness of it all. With a bit more obvious love for the imagination of Philip K Dick.

It's a trailer, so obviously they're putting their best foot forward. Still, it looks fairly interesting. Not quite enough to make me forget it's a remake, but sufficient to at least consider setting that fact aside for a moment.

That shootout/dojo scene was well executed

I have always enjoyed Colin. Even though this is a proposed remake I am in. The trailer does make it look exactly like the first (maybe it will be) but I like what I see. People hate remakes when they should not because 1)they don't taint the original. 2) they can be good (3:10 to yuma and true grit) and 3) some were not born yet. It does look good. and lastly....the shoot-out scene was badass, very good directing.

To be perfectly honest, this trailer hasn't sold me at all, it looks so fake.
The original was made 22 years ago, and looks more real then this new age remake. This CGI is getting a little out of hand, and is diminishing the quality of film.
Maybe another trailer can sell me, but as of rite now I'm going to pass.

I'm just sick of everyone calling it a remake. I suppose it technically is, but since it's based on a Philip K. Dick story, the source material isn't necessarily the Arnold version (which I do love). Also, why can't we base our opinions on this film's own merits, and AFTER we've seen the whole thing and not just a trailer (Which looked fantastic)?

We're Very Stoked For This

I just dragged my wife in to see the trailer and she had the same reaction as me. I can hardly wait for this to hit theaters. Hopefully it will be a little closer to the story 'We Can Remember It For You Wholesale'.

No Mars, Bill Nighy plays Quato, and yes, there will be aliens. The plot from what I understand has to deal with Quaid regaining his memory as being Cohagen's 2nd in command, but rebelling against it by putting a stop to his reign of terror over the free world.

there's not a rating for it yet, and if I remember correctly, Wiseman said in an interview there will be some variation of the 3-boobed chick in the movie.

Also, after seeing the trailer, I KNOW this remake is in good hands now. So long as they keep it R-rated and with the original film's overall tone, it can't lose.

Love it! It looks pretty AWESOME! I hope they gave Arnold a cameo, but I suspect not. I also hope they add the part where he watches a video of himself talking to himself. I always liked that in the original! Gotta have Quato too!!

I wonder if Mars will still be part of the plot as I didn't see any indication of it in the trailer. Still, looks like this could be a decent remake.

Thumb me down all you want, but the original wasn't even good. It was a big cheese-fest just like most of Arnold's movies. This movie looks like it's gonna be, at the least, entertaining.

I'm interested. Even though it's CG OVERLOAD, the style really reminds me of older sci-fi movies like Blade Runner and The 5th Element. I just hope they kept "Consider that a divorce!"

This looks freaking awesome. Loved the action scene where Farrell takes out the soldiers. Along with Prometheus, this will be a great year for Sci-fi.
