Will Johnny Depp take a role from Tom Hardy for Snow White and the Huntsman?

Tom Hardy may have a little competition coming from Johnny Depp.

The Wrap is reporting that Depp has also been offered the role of the Huntsman in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN. This is a part that Tom Hardy has been circling.

Well, what's going on here? Are they going to have to duke it out? Step Up 6: Acting in the Streets!

Rumor has it that Hardy really wants to focus on his unknown part in BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Hardy was offered the role first, so if he decides to split then Depp can have the role if he wants it. Hardy offered a role before Depp? Gasp! Eh, who gives a crap they're both good.

I'm curious to see who they are looking at for the role of the fair Snow White. Just yesterday we reported that Charlize Theron was offered the role of the villain. This sounds like it's going to be one hell of a pretty cast.

Here are some details on Evan Daugherty's script, "the Huntsman is haunted by a white wolf that killed his wife, and there's a pervasive sadness about the character that makes the void in his life feel quite real. He'll be chained to Snow White for part of the live-action movie as the duo make their escape from a pair of bounty hunters. The Huntsman then serves as a mentor who teaches the teenage Snow White how to fight against her evil step-mother, Ravenna. And don't worry -- a handsome prince is still the love interest."
