Winstone has Edge

Ray Winstone, who is perhaps one of Hollywood’s most unheralded actors, has replaced Robert De Niro in EDGE OF DARKNESS starring Mel Gibson and directed by Martin Campbell. Winstone will play an operative sent to clean up evidence in the murder of a woman. Gibson plays her detective father, who wants answers after his daughter is shot on his doorstep.

I’m not too sure if Bobby D has a reputation of being difficult on set, but it is reported that after only two days of shooting, the legendary actor dropped out due to “creative differences”. One can only wonder where these “creative differences” were while he was shooting GODSEND, SHOWTIME, HIDE AND SEEK, and all the rest.
