** Small spoilers ensue **

Tobin Bell has confirmed that he will be reprising his role as 'Jigsaw' in the next two SAW movies. I know this story starts out sounding retarded, since his character obviously died in SAW 3 - believe me, I thought that too - but apparently, the film-makers already had planned for at least one more film in the franchise, and had specifically shot certain scenes in a manner which would help facilitate this.

With that revelation, the story actually sounds pretty cool to me. Co-producer Oren Koules says that "there are three or four scenes in 'Saw III' that seem very innocuous and benign but when you see 'Saw IV' and they flash back to those, they have a whole different meaning. We shot scenes for 'Saw III', knowing they'd be in 'IV.' We knew what we wanted to do for 'IV' so we actually shot scenes for 'III' but tried to make them very innocent scenes that didn't really make sense, but when it comes back, it's a huge part about 'Saw IV.'"

Filming on the next installment begins in April, with Darren Lyn Bouseman (SAW 3) again directing.

Extra Tidbit: I hope Tobin Bell isn't back as Jigsaw's evil twin brother, 'Hacksaw' or something.

I had heard about Tobin reprising his role for Saw IV and V before i saw III and I think thats why I didn't care for it as much, I really didn't care if he lived or died, I knew they were making more. I enjoyed the first two movies alot and with the right story line IV and V could be just as good. My only fear is that they are passing the Trilogy mark, generly after three movies, a franchise loses its apeal....Friday the 13thm Holloween, Jaws, Rocky, etc. Only time will tell.

I have a very high feeling that this movie is going to suck ass, just like how Saw III completely sucked ass.

I realized that right after I posted, but since it showed how my feelings were at the time so I kept it. I can't complain about the movies, especially since I know that I am going to see them both when they come out.

I agree with the previous post. People complain too damn much over nothing. They act like the films are somehow ruining their lives.

It bothers me so much when people, especially people on message boards who don't actually create any kind of art, complain that a movie is being made. They complain about a movie that they haven't even seen yet. They say things like "SERIOUSLY? DO WE NEED THIS?" or "I can understand them making a Saw IV, but a Saw V??? It is useless. But then again, the Saw Franchise makes a lot of money and that's the point of everything in holly wood now." The real answer is that we don't NEED any movies at all. They are a pleasure, and different people like different films. Don't confuse the words "enjoy" and "need". Secondly, the driving factor behind Hollywood from day one has been money. That has not changed from the days of silent films. It's a business. Nobody stays in business hoping to lose money. All these Saw films made money because they were fun to watch. Masterpieces? No. Fun? Yes. Is there anything wrong with that and the film makers raking in a bit of a payday? No. Does the internet have too many whiners? Yes.

My first thought when I started reading "Tobin Bell has confirmed that he will be reprising his role..." was evil twin brother. Or possibly brothers. A whole gang of evil Saw boys. Based on B-movie sequels I've seen we should get two brothers for Saw IV and Saw V will reveal Jigsaw, Hacksaw and Curly are all dead, but somehow more brothers are out there. Maybe they have a cloning machine or something.

The original "Saw" was pretty good and original. The second one was a heap of trash, and the third one was a comedy. "Saw 4" should be set in space, with Nick Cannon playing a young hot shot detective and a young Nick Nolte playing a cop on the EDGE. It would tell the tale of their search across the galaxy for Jigsaw.

"Saw 5" will end with the dumb Saw music playing, and Jigsaw saying, "This film was a test, the producers wanted to see how many idiots would pay to see it. You have failed, and now will die." The doors in the theater lock, and deadly gas seeps in through the AC, and all the idiots who go to see "Saw 5" will die.

If that's the case, the operative term would be "Hack"

I bet one of those scenes is the one with his wife/other family member. If that's true, it just supports my belief that this is a prequel.
