I hope you dig the work done by Dreamworks Animation, because you’re going to be seeing a whole lot of it in cinemas over the next three and a half years.  There are original films here as well as some sequels to past hits, and all in all it certainly makes for an interesting collection.  So without further ado:

TURBO: July 19th, 2013
ME AND MY SHADOW: March 14th, 2014
HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2: June 20th, 2014
HAPPY SMEKDAY!: November 26th, 2014
THE PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR: March 27th, 2015
TROLLS (working title): June 5th, 2015
B.O.O: BUREAU OF OTHERWORLDLY OPERATIONS (originally BOO U): November 6th, 2015
MUMBAI MUSICAL (working title, originally MONKEYS OF BOLLYWOOD): December 19th, 2015

Some other miscellaneous bits of information gleaned from the report include that Dean DeBlois will return to direct HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 3 (after writing and directing the first two), B.O.O: BUREAU OF OTHERWORLDLY OPERATIONS stars Seth Rogen with a script by Tom Wheeler (PUSS IN BOOTS) and direction from Tony Leondis (IGOR) based on his original idea, and most of the movies on this list have been in development for some time already.  Dreamworks Animation recently inked a distribution deal with Fox, which is why this sort of slate can be announced with such confidence.

“When I look at these movies, I am so proud because they are the results of years of work. This last year, while we waited to find out who our new partner would be, we could have targets for them. It was fantastic to be finally be able to sit down with Fox and date them. We’ve come up with a great release plan,” said Dreamworks Animation chief creative officer Bill Damaschke.

The last Dreamworks Animation movie to be released by its old partner Paramount will be RISE OF THE GUARDIANS, due out November 21st.
