Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series is very Joss

What can we tell you about Joss Whedon‘s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series? Nothing really.

We can tell you who is part of the cast so far: Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson, Ming-Na as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Gemma Simmons and Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz.

Now we have something else. It’s not much, and it may not be surprising, but it’s something.

ABC president Paul Lee’s said this recently, “It’s very Joss Whedon. We’re optimistic, because Joss is a genius and we love the idea and we love what we’ve seen,” Lee added. “But it’s early days, and it’s a long way to go between now and a successful series. But we are very excited about it.”

For those of you who have seen any Whedon series, know what makes it Whedon-y. There will be pop culture references, interesting slang, there will be a humorous/awkward character (maybe more than one), and the action scenes will not be questionable. The fights will definitely be entertaining. I can’t wait to see it.
