Well, PATHOLOGY came and went last month without gaining a true wide release like I was hoping (see our review here). Too bad because the trailer we posted last month looked pretty damn sweet. I guess I’ll have to wait until DVD, however there is no release date yet…
But for some reason, a brand new (albeit late) poster has just surfaced (above). I’m not sure what the point of this is (yet). Is the flick getting a re-release? Is it coming out overseas? Is the DVD not too far off? Or did they just need a poster with a large shot of Alyssa Milano? Your guess is as good as mine. Regardless, though, the new poster ain’t too shabby. I like how the title is shown with a flatlining heart monitor. The scalpel behind the back may be a little unoriginal, but probably necessary to convey the “horror” aspect.
The plot goes like this: Harvard Medical School graduate Dr. Ted Grey arrives at one of the nations most prestigious Pathology programs and is quickly noticed by the program’s privileged and elite band of pathology interns who invite him into their crowd. It is also here, where he is introduced to Dr. Jake Gallo, who brings him to a secluded wing, where he and four other indulge in there after-hours, extra-curricular activities… finding ways to commit the perfect murder!
It was directed by Marc Schoelermann and written by Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor (the scripters of CRANK). The starring hospital dwellers are Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Weston, Alyssa Milano, Lauren Lee Smith (below), and Johnny Whitworth.
