HORRORFEST will soon be back! Just not in its usual month of November. No, the next time we’ll be granted access to 8 (sometimes mediocre) FILMS TO DIE FOR will be in January 2009. Regardless, I still enjoy seeing a big collection of genre films simultaneously making their way to the big screen. And I certainly like the first image (above) released from one of the three announced HORRORFEST entries called SLAUGHTER (it was formerly called FAITHLESS). Take a look at the plot to see how the pic applies:
A young woman looks to escape her abusive life by moving to her family’s farm near Atlanta. Unfortunately, she learns her place of supposed comfort offers more terrifying forms of abuse.
It reminds me a bit of FRONTIERS as does the pic up top, but that isn’t necessarily something negative. It would also be nice if SLAUGHTER was looking to go balls-to-the-wall like FRONTIERS bravely did.
