Here’s some interesting news today coming from ShockTillYouDrop. Apparently the fellas over at Shock got an update from Dark Castle on what we can expect next from the studio.
The first flick Dark Castle are working on is called ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE. I’m completely sold already. Hell, who wouldn’t be sold on a title like that? The movie is described as a horror/comedy and has no relation to the short film by Lucky McKee and Chris Sivertson. Now sure, the title is brilliant… but so was DEATH TO THE SUPERMODELS and we all know how that turned out… actually, chances are you don’t know how that turned out… well aside from the hot chicks it wasn’t pretty.
But I’m going to keep my judgement open for ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE until we learn more… because the potential idea of a pack of sexy cheerleaders battling some psycho for their life with some comedy thrown in sounds good to me. The second movie Dark Castle have planned is another sequel to the HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL remake. Of course we all remember the first sequel, RETURN TO HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL. Now I never caught RETURN, but I actually dug the remake.. so we’ll see I suppose.
STYD also go on and talk about how Dark Castle can only make sequels for movies owned by Warner Bros. I’m going to go ahead and say both of these movies seem to have some potential, so we’ll keep you updated.
