George A. Romero’s THE CRAZIES is on the remake train riding the fast track. Principal photography is set to start tomorrow in Georgia with some more shooting eventually taking place in Iowa. So just a day before principal photography and we’re getting some brand new casting news from The Hollywood Reporter!

The Reporter has both Danielle Panabaker and Joe Anderson joining Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell (below) in Breck Eisner’s THE CRAZIES. While Olyphant will be playing the town’s sheriff, Panabaker (above) will be playing a receptionist at the town’s medical center with Anderson as the town’s deputy. THE CRAZIES is about the inhabitants of a small Kansas town who are beset by death and insanity after a plane crash lets loose a secret biological weapon into the water supply.

You may recognize Panabaker from FRIDAY THE 13TH, looks like the beautiful Panabaker has a thing for our genre. So with things starting up tomorrow on THE CRAZIES let’s hope to see some more updates soon!
