Way back at the beginning of last year we told you that 2001 MANIACS: BEVERLY HELLBILLYS had unfortunately been delayed thanks to the writers strike. Now I haven’t had the chance to check out the first film but I hear good things so I can only assume the sequel was being looked forward to.
Well it seems the film is delayed no longer considering it’s offical Facebook page posted a status earlier claiming: THAT’S A WRAP! OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE COMING TOMORROW! Well that’s great news! Not only that… but they’ve also released an early teaser poster for the flick! Scope that out above.
Simple. To the point. I think that poster gets the job done just fine! The HELLBILLYS synopsis reads: After the sheriff refuses to cover up any further for the maniacs causing all the missing persons in the area, they’re forced to hit the road in what’s dubbed the “Pleasant Valley Traveling Road Show,” where the maniacs head across country in hopes of gathering more victims. We’ll follow a young TV crew called the “Road Rascals” as they find themselves mixed up with another one of the maniacs’ deadly festivals. It stars Robert Englund, Lin Shaye, Christa Campbell (below), Tony Todd, Courtney Peldon, Giuseppe Andrews, Talan Torriero, Noel Gugliemi, and Ashley Peldon. Tim Sullivan is directing a script he penned with Chris Kobin and Christopher Tuffin.
That’s all we’ve got for 2001 MANIACS: BEVERLY HELLBILLYS right now but be sure to keep it here as we await that press release! And a possible release date?
