I don’t know what to make of this news. Fox Searchlight has launched a new teen division called Fox Atomic. No problem there. It’s nice to see someone finally start giving some love to the woefully underrepresented adolescent market.
So what’s my quandry? One of the pics already in development for them is 28 WEEKS LATER. That’s right, the sequel to Danny Boyle’s zombie-fresh take 28 DAYS LATER. So does this mean we’re going to get a story about Buffy, who is terribly upset because her boyfriend Jake keeps wanting to eat her and she’s just not ready to take that step?
I guess this pretty much guarantees a PG-13 rating, which anyone who reads this site has a firm idea of my opinion on that shite. Otherwise, I’m just so taken aback that this particular project could be given to a teen genre arm that I find myself at a loss.
