I saw this new 2012 trailer before ZOMBIELAND, WHIP IT, THE INVENTION OF LYING and I’m pretty sure even CAPITALISM: A LOVE STORY this week (yeah, I’ve been busy), but now it’s finally popped up online, and despite every part of my wanting to hate this movie, the visuals are just too good.
The trailer follows John Cusack getting his family the f*ck out of L.A. and staying quite literally one second ahead of an earthquake that engulfs the entire city. Sure this movie is going to be completely mindless, but it has the rare ability to make me not care, just because of how spectacular the effects are. Kind of like 300. And TRANSFORMERS. And SPEED RACER.
