I’ve made it no secret that I’m looking forward to MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D. I’m actually a big fan of the original, and I don’t think this remake is necessarily needed… but it’s looking pretty good, so I’ll give it a shot.

Today we have a look at the new ‘3-D’ poster for the flick courtesy of Lionsgate. Check that out above, click through for a larger version. Not bad at all. I’ve always thought the mining thing would work perfectly for a killer in a slasher flick, and it looks like MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D are using the idea perfectly… I still doubt it’ll be as good as the original though.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D comes from director Patrick Lussier with the screenplay from Todd Farmer and Zane Smith. It stars Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith, Edi Gathegi, and Andrew Larson among lots others. Here’s the synopsis: Tom returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine’s night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, however, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and it seems like his old flame is the only one will believes he’s innocent.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE is just over a month away from release. Get ready to have your heart broken on January 16th.
