There’s word coming from The Hollywood Reporter today on a ‘dark tale’ called TRIAGE. Mind you, this doesn’t sound like it would fall into the general ‘genre film’ category. But it’s a slow news day and this has the potential to be a darkly twisted flick.
TRIAGE is about a photojournalist named Mark who returns home from a dangerous assignment. When Mark’s colleague and best friend fails to return home his girlfriend, Elena, must find the clues to the mystery that’s slowly killing her boyfriend.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Colin Farrell will be starring as Mark while the lovely Paz Vega (below) stars as Elena. The great Christopher Lee has also joined the cast.
TRIAGE is being directed by Danis Tanovic. Tanovic also adapted the script from Scott Anderson’s original novel.
Parallel Films’ Alan Moloney will be producing along with Cedomir Kolar and Marc Baschet, both of ASAP Films. Co-producing will be Tim Baish, Free Form and Mariela Besuievsky of Tornasol Films, Aramid Entertainment and the Irish Film Board. Farrell (above) is set to executive produce.
The flick starts shooting this month on location in Ireland and then to Alicante, Spain, at the Ciudad de la Luz studios. We’ll keep an eye on this one, and if it turns out to be something right down our alley, we’ll keep you updated…. plus it gives us a reason to throw up pics of Paz Vega.. like we need a reason.
