I’m pretty stoked for THE HILLS RUN RED, for a few reasons. Firstly, the synopsis, which reads: The story centers on a film fanatic whose obsession with finding a complete print of an infamous slasher movie leads him and two friends into the backwoods where the film was shot. They realize too late that filming never ended — and now they must survive a nightmarish onslaught or become part of the movie forever.
I’m a big time slasher fan and that just sounds like all kinds of fun. The second reason would be the man who scripted this bloody romp in the woods, David J. Schow, most notable for one of my all time favorite movies: THE CROW. And the third reason would be that gorgeous woman below, Sophie Monk. Actually she’s reason enough.
Well we last told you about THE HILLS RUN READ a few weeks ago, when Sophie Monk and Tad Hilgenbrink joined the cast. Today it looks like three more have added their names to the mix.
Mike Straub (above), Ewan Bailey, and stuntman Danko Jordanov have all joined the film, with Jordanov playing the masked killer.
Sounds good to me. Along with Schow, the script was also worked on by John Carchietta and John Dombrow. Dave Parker will be directing. The three new names join the already cast Monk, Hilgenbrink, William Sadler, Alex Wyndham, and Janet Montgomery.
Currently filming in Bulgaria, there’s no word on a release date for THE HILLS RUN RED. It looks like they’re aiming for a late 2008 release though, so we’ll keep you updated.
