Sure, David Slade’s most successful work might be TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE, but I will always remember him as the director of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT and HARD CANDY. The filmmaker may be headed to the small screen for the first time. Variety reports that he is currently in talks to helm the pilot of a new series titled REM.
REM is a supernatural show from NBC created by Kyle Killen (“Lone Star”). The pilot, described as an INCEPTION-style thriller, centers on a police detective living in two realities and who must solve cases using clues from each of his lives.
“24” showrunner Howard Gordon is also in talks to join the project as executive producer. Sounds like the show is shaping up to be a solid one. We’ll let you know if Slade signs the dotted line or not.
