Shane Acker’s 9 is a film we’ve been keeping an eye on for a while here at AITH with it’s release quickly approaching. That date being the clever 9-9-2009. Well it seems there’s been a character poster released for each of the film’s numeric characters. Each poster was given exclusively to a different source so with the help of always-sexy JoBlo.com I’ve gone ahead and threw all the posters together for you to check out above and below!
You’ll find a poster depicting each character, from One to Nine. My favorite would have to be 6. Not only is he creepy and misunderstood… he’s voiced by Crispin Glover! Natch. The posters combine to bring us the following message: To protect us… To inspire us… To define us… To teach us… To guide us… To lead us… To defend us… To guard us…. To save us. Each statement seems to correspond with a character. Just scroll around to check out who fits with what. You can then click through to check out the full shots at the original source.
9 comes from producer Tim Burton with the voice talents of Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Martin Landau, Christopher Plummer, and Fred Tatasciore. Here’s the synopsis: When 9 first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world where all humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good. They must take the offensive if they are to survive, and they must discover why the machines want to destroy them in the first place. As they’ll soon come to learn, the very future of civilization may depend on them.
