A new 90-second TV spot for Dreamworks RISE OF THE GUARDIANS has gone online, teasing some new footage and character interactions that fall in line with what we’ve seen so far.  Based on the series of books by William Joyce, the animated holiday adventure features the voice talents of Alec Baldwin, Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Jude Law, and Isla Fisher.  Overall, it looks like a fun pic with plenty of material for both old and young audiences.

I hope you like carrots:

I’m pretty happy that I won’t have to endure anything Smurfs or Chipmunks with my kid this holiday season, since we have RISE OF THE GUARDIANS and WRECK IT RALPH coming down the pipe.  As a parent, it’s a great relief to not have to sit through excrutiatingly bad animated flicks.  It always works out better when everyone can enjoy the experience and Daddy doesn’t have to sneak in a flask to ease the pain.

Here’s the synopsis:

RISE OF THE GUARDIANS is an epic and magical adventure that tells the story of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman, and Jack Frost – legendary characters with previously unknown extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children everywhere.

RISE OF THE GUARDIANS hits theaters on November 21, 2012.
