Cool Horror Videos: The Animated Evolution of Chucky

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

With a remake headed our way this summer AND a separate TV series coming soon as well, you may be wondering just how much has the pint-sized doll Chucky – otherwise known as Charles Lee Ray – evolved through the CHILD'S PLAY franchise? Well, an all-new video invited you to go through the Evolution of Chucky to find out! Covering all his theatrical looks and story…animated! (With no restraint on spoilers).

Give the video a look-see below and then make sure to let us know what you think! Meanwhile, the television series based on the franchise that Don Mancini (writer of all of the CHILD'S PLAY / CHUCKY movies and director of a few of them) is developing has found a home at Syfy with Mancini executive producing along with David Kirschner and Nick Antosca, creator of Syfy's recently canceled anthology series Channel Zero. We'll let you know when we hear more about the series. While we wait for that, here's the upcoming remake's official synopsis:

A mother (Plaza) gives her son (Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.

The remake is directed by Lars Klevberg (POLAROID) from a screenplay written by KUNG FURY 2 writer Tyler Burton Smith with STEPHEN KING'S IT producers David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith producing. Aaron Schmidt and Chris Ferguson executive produced. Beatrice Kitsos, Ty Consiglio, and Carlease Burke co-star. CHILD'S PLAY stalks and slashes its tiny terrifying ass into your local multiplex come June 21, 2019.
