Sebastian Stan, better known as Bucky Barnes from the CAPTAIN AMERICAN movies, and Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany (pictured above; you might also know her from GINGER SNAPS 2: UNLEASHED or George A. Romero's DIARY OF THE DEAD) have joined Nicole Kidman in the cast of DESTROYER, a thriller from JENNIFER'S BODY / THE INVITATION director Karyn Kusama.
Scripted by THE INVITATION's Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, DESTROYER stars Kidman as
LAPD detective Erin Bell who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a cult-like gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past.
The story sounds interesting and Kusama is assembling a great cast, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.
Hay and Manfredi are producing the film with Fred Berger of Automatik.
