Silence is survival in the trailer for John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place John Krasinski Emily Blunt

John Krasinski has been shedding the image of The Office's Jim Halpert with each new project he takes on, and in the trailer for his horror film A QUIET PLACE it's clear that his Jim days are now far behind him.

Krasinski directed, wrote (working from an original screenplay by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods), and stars in A QUIET PLACE with his wife Emily Blunt. The film is shrouded in so much secrecy that there isn't even a synopsis beyond the tagline:

If they can't hear you, they can't hunt you.

Who is "they"? The trailer isn't telling or showing. What it does show is that Krasinski has managed to give his film a thick atmosphere of dread and weirdness.

Produced by Platinum Dunes, A QUIET PLACE will be released into theatres by Paramount on April 6, 2018.
