Uncharted, Tom Holland, wraps

Principal photography for Ruben Fleischer's UNCHARTED has officially wrapped, meaning that Tom Holland's exploits as the classic video game character, Nathan Drake, are one step closer to being enjoyed by fans. The film will now move into its post-production phase, where much of the movie's special effects and breathtaking set pieces will be brought to life.

Created by Naughty Dog and published by PlayStation, the Uncharted video game series revolves around the globe-trotting adventures of Nathan Drake, an explorer who continuously finds himself at war with rival seekers of artifacts that, once acquired, could help shape the future of mankind in ways never thought possible. Joining Holland for the upcoming action roller coaster is Mark Wahlberg as Drake's long-time exploring partner and friend, Victor "Sully" Sullivan, with Sophia Ali playing Chloe Frazer. Tati Gabrielle (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Antonio Banderas will also co-star.

After quite the creator shuffle, Venom director Ruben Fleischer took the film over from Bumblebee director Travis Knight. Uncharted is being written by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, with production being handled by Charles Roven and Alex Gartner for Atlas Entertainment, and Avi Arad for Arad Productions. Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan will executive produce via Playstation Productions.

UNCHARTED is scheduled to sneak into theaters on October 8, 2021.
