Exclusive: Mad Magazine Aquaman parody reveal “Awkward, Man”

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

As a kid, I grew up without the Internet (yes, kids, there was such a time) and one of the main sources of information and entertainment was from the glossy pages of these things called "magazines", which, believe it or not, are still sold today! One of the magazines I frequently bought was Mad Magazine, which was known for parodying everying from politics to movies to music to…well, just about everything, really. The exaggerated caricature-like art was always a bonus and helped lead me to the comics stand, where my pocket change really started to disappear.

While I may not frequent magazine stands as much anymore, I absolutely love that Mad Magazine is still hitting the racks and am pleased as punch to reveal a first look at the interior of their latest issue, featuring a parody of James Wan's AQUAMA, called: "Awkward, Man." Now, my love ot AQUAMAN has been well documented, but if we can't poke a little fun at the things we love sometimes then what the hell is Thanksgiving for besides Turkey and pumpkin pie? Anyway, take a gander at what Mad Magazine has been up to with an exclusive look at the opening interior pages (and cover) to issue #7 below!
