Disney just dropped a new teaser trailer for their upcoming live action ALADDIN remake, and this time, we finally get a peek at Will Smith's Genie.
Hoo boy.
Folks, I'm not gonna sugar coat this. Will Smith looks like he was dipped in some CG Willy Wonka candy and sprinkled with some TWILIGHT vamp glitter. It's not a pretty sight. I am always very adament about waiting to judge a film until I see it on the big screen, but this sneak peek has me a little worried. Here's hoping that the final product is a better retelling than what these little teasers have offered up thus far.
Based on the 1992 animated Disney film of the same name and directed by Guy Ritchie, ALADDIN stars Mena Massound as the titular character himself, Will Smith as Genie, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Numan Acar as Hakim, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahband as Sultan, and Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders.
ALADDIN dances its way into theaters on May 24th, 2019.
