Ant-Man & the Wasp character posters reveal Michelle Pfeiffer’s Wasp

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Like many Marvel fans, I've been waiting for an official look at Michelle Pfeiffer's take on the original Wasp. Now, thanks to a batch of new character posters for the studio's ANT-MAN AND THE WASP we finally have it. When Pfeiffer buzzes onto the scene of the highly-anticipated sequel to Peyton Reed's ANT-MAN (2015), she'll do so as Janet Van Dyne, mother of Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and long-lost wife of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). As explained during the events of the original film, Janet became lost in the Quantum Realm after going sub-atomic in an effort to disarm a missile in the 1980s. In the upcoming sequel, Janet returns to her family, and oh boy are they going to have a lot of issues to work out.

As you can see from the stunning character poster below, Janet is wearing her own Wasp suit with a black and green-colored motif beneath a light brown, tattered jacket. Recently, Pfeiffer spoke to Variety about her doing research for the role, and what a joy it was to explore such an important character in the Ant-Man mythos.

“It had this great sense of humor about it and just this unusual tone,” said Pfeiffer. “This new script has the same thing. It’s nicely written.” She then added, "I just started reading them, and I’m having a really hard time." Pfeiffer said. "There’s so much information on a page, and it’s not linear. When I’m skim reading them it’s difficult to know that this part comes after that and who is talking in what bubble."

You can check out Pfeiffer's character poster as well as new one-sheets for Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Dr. Bill Foster/Goliath (Laurence Fishburne) below.

Marvel's ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is set to make a giant-sized splash in theaters on July 6th.
