Deadline reports that Russell Crowe and Priyanka Chopra Jonas will star in Bluefly, a sci-fi action thriller movie directed by Predator‘s Nimród Antal.
What We Know About Bluefly
The official synopsis reads: “Deep in the Congo, a grieving UN translator is pulled onto a black-ops mission to recover a downed aircraft that isn’t supposed to exist. As a Special Operations team pushes upriver through militia-held territory, the recovery becomes a descent — and the closer they get to the craft, the clearer it becomes that they were never meant to bring it home.“
Production is slated to kick off later this year on Australia’s Gold Coast with Antal directing from a script by David Frigerio (Beast), William Eubank (Underwater) and Carlyle Eubank (Muzzle).

Russell Crowe & Priyanka Chopra Jonas
Crowe was recently seen playing Hermann Göring in Nuremberg, and his performance as the notorious Nazi was seen as a return to form. In his review, our own Chris Bumbray said, “Russell Crowe delivers one of his best performances as Göring, winning over Kelley with his intellect and chumminess, as well as his fluency in English, good humor, and devotion to his family.“
As for Jonas, she was last seen in The Bluff, a pirate action movie which also stars Karl Urban. “The Bluff is a fantastic example of applying contemporary style and technology to a bygone genre,” wrote our own Alex Maidy in his review. “I had more fun with this lean and brutal action movie than I have with most action movies over the last year.“
