Deadpool dons his X-Men uniform in new Deadpool 2 image

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) proved in his first movie that he’s a bit of a lone wolf. His penchant for violence and his salty way of speaking don’t exactly make him a perfect fit for the likes of the Avengers or X-Men. But, come DEADPOOL 2 he will need all the help he can get, including from several X-Men, so he’s finally playing ball and, as evidenced by this new photo, is wearing the team colors.

The pic is an exclusive from Empire and shows Pool wearing the cut-off X-Men shirt, which we’ve seen make an appearance in the DP2 trailer. Now we have a bit of context to go behind it, and now we can see he’s wearing it as a way of meshing with the other X-Men as they try and deal with Julian Dennison’s young mutant character. Even with this Goodwill-style X-Men uniform Deadpool still out-dresses many of the other heroes on the team.

Also in the photo are Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) and Colossus (Stefan Kapicic), who don’t seem to be loving their new team member. Oh well, Deadpool will form his own team, which we see him assemble in the new movie and give a unique name, the X-Force. Together they will cause some mischief as they hunt down Dennison’s character, a character kept very under wraps, but we see more of in a recent TV spot (below). Listen, we all know it’s Dennison’s Ricky Baker character from HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE but who now has the ability to burn stuff in a much cooler way.
