The NFL’s Rob Gronkowski joins Gibson and Grillo for Boss Level action film

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

After much coaxing on behalf of Dwayne Johnson and Sylvester Stallone, New England Patriots player Rob Gronkowski is making plans to spend a portion of his off-season time acting in Joe Carnaghan's upcoming action thriller BOSS LEVEL.

As The Tracking Board reports, Gronkowski is poised to join confirmed BOSS LEVEL stars Mel Gibson, Frank Grillo, and Naomi Watts for Carnaghan's sci-fi feature that tells the story of a retired special forces officer who becomes trapped in a never ending time loop on the day of his death. Written by the Borey Brothers, BOSS LEVEL will also star Annabelle Wallis and Will Sasso.

While Grillo is known to be stepping into the role of the retired special forces agent, no word has surfaced as to who Gronkowski will play in the film. If I were a betting man, I'd say that we can look forward to Gronkowski getting physical with Grillo's character, as the NFL star's intimidating stature will likely find him in a tough guy role.

Are you a fan of Rob Gronkowski? Do you think he'll go on to become a leading man in Hollywood, given enough time? Are you excited to see him join Mel Gibson and Frank Grillo on the big screen? Let us know in the comments section below.
