Christopher Nolan praises Wonder Woman, comments on his DC history

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Bust out your WONDER WOMAN bingo cards, kids, because we're about to add another name to the list of filmmakers who are eager to celebrate Warner Bros. and DC's first solo female-led adventure! During a recent interview with Yahoo, cinematic visionary Christopher Nolan, the director of THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY, told the entertainment outlet that he "loved" the action-packed blockbuster directed by Patty Jenkins.

After praising the efforts of Jenkins and her team, Nolan went on to comment about his keeping up-to-date with the latest installments of the DCEU by saying, “I mean, I watch the films. I enjoy films very much as a moviegoer these days. I spent 10 years of my life dealing with one of the greatest characters in popular fiction. It was a great honor and a privilege to work with that, but there’s a time to pass it on to new people.”

As you might recall, Nolan acted as a producer on the DCEU's MAN OF STEEL, to which he then joined BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE as an executive producer. Although Nolan has since left the world of superheroes behind, I'm positive that he's keeping his finger on the pulse of that particular genre. After all, you never know when he might return to direct something epic like a SWAMP THING solo venture or ANIMAL MAN.

Nolan's next film is DUNKIRK, a film that centers on allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, Canada, and France, who are surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War II. DUNKIRK is scheduled to touch down in theaters July 21st
