It’s Robin vs. Robin as Red Hood makes his debut in Injustice 2

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

DLC is both a blessing and a curse of modern gaming. On the one hand, it's awesome that once you buy a game, you can still get more characters, skins, backgrounds, and such for free or at a low price. On the other hand, it begs the question: why not put this stuff in the game in the first place? And, furthermore, DLC can also be used as a way by companies to ship out incomplete or downright broken games, with the promise that it'll be patched later.

Luckily, INJUSTICE 2 seems to have been shipped without such problems, and the DLC looks to just be cherries on top of a violent sundae, rather than trying to make-up for giving players food poisoning (God, I'm hungry). Anyway, here's the introduction and gameplay footage for one of the game's first DLC characters, Red Hood (former Robin, Jason Todd). Let's take a look:

Now, I was never much of a fan of Red Hood (there used to be a saying, "nobody stays dead in comics, except Bucky, Jason Todd, and Uncle Ben." Now I'm looking forward to the next Marvel event where it turns out a now evil Uncle Ben is behind everything). I mean, Red Hood's cool and all (what with all the flips and gunkata shit), but his schtick is basically he's The Punisher with a weird helmet and a convoluted backstory. I understand he has fans, and I'm legitimately glad for you guys that you get to play as him. And honestly, he looks fun to play. However, I'm still holding out for Sub-Zero, myself.

Meanwhile, INJUSTICE 2 is out now.
