Michael Pena (aka best part of Ant-Man) will be in Ant-Man and the Wasp

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

So, while there has been some doubt if Michael Pena would return in the sequel to ANT-MAN, according to an interview with LRM, Pena confirmed that he'll indeed be in the film. Here's what he had to say:

So, I’m doing Extinction next, that’s a Universal movie. And then I’m doing Ant-Man, Part 2.

Despite getting the movie title wrong, that seems pretty conclusive. As I said in the headline, I thought Pena was the best part of the original film, and that's not faint praise! I loved Paul Rudd, the innovative action, and the simpler plot of the original ANT-MAN – so you can say I was a fan. I also know people might disagree that he was the best part (that's a matter of opinion), but I doubt anyone would say he wasn't a highlight. So good news all around!

Meanwhile, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP will crawl into theaters July 6th, 2018. However, you can next see Pena in CHiPS, which opens tomorrow, March 24th.
