New Rogue One international trailer reveals tons new footage

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I'd say one of the only disadvantages writing for a film news site is that sometimes you get spoiled of information you'd rather have seen on the big screen yourself. Don't get me wrong, most of the time getting early access is awesome, but there are times where you'd rather just be surprised.

I think that this counts as one of those times. While the international ROGUE ONE trailer mainly follows the beat of the second domestic one, it actually uses a lot of different scenes or alternate takes. But more importantly, it shows off some really cool action beats that I'd rather have seen for myself for the first time opening night. But that's only a (really) small complaint, as the movie is looking more and more awesome with each trailer. See for yourself!

Badass, right? (MINOR SPOILERS!) I mean, did that dude just a shoot a f*cking rocket launcher at an AT-AT? Or a ship trying to escape a planet as the Death Star blows it up!

Not to mention the gorgeous handheld cinematography, or the beautifully subtle score. Hopefully the film itself lives up to its visuals and soundtrack.

The only thing that worries me is, I mean, are crystals somehow connected to the Force now, or…?

Anyway, ROGUE ONE – directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, Alan Tudyk, Mads Mikkelsen, and Ben Mendelsohn – will sneak into theaters December 16th, 2016
