A rebellion begins & Darth Vader emerges in new Rogue One trailer

There’s nothing I can say to get you more excited for ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY. Your anticipation level is already cranked to 11, and if they let you camp out in front of theaters this early you would already have a fire going while some douche plays a guitar. I could even say the reshoots were done by none other than Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson, and you would still be like, “Well…I’m sure he was chosen for a reason.” Truly there’s nothing I could say to get you more excited for this flick or to dull that excitement…but there is something I could show you. Twist!

Wasn’t that just awesome? This new trailer gives us some great new footage including a young Jyn Erso with her father (Mads Mikkelson), and the team (seen on the poster below) getting to kick some Empire ass. As well we have a much better grasp of the story now, which shows that Mikkelson’s character had a lot to do with the planning of the Death Star, hence why the Rebels needs Jyn (Felicity Jones). The trailer really conveys the more dramatic tone we’ve been hearing about, and it really feels like the war movie we were promised. I know there’s not a whole lot that could make me more excited for this movie, but this new trailer has added a lot of fuel to that fire. VADER!!

The blasters will be blasting and the AT-AT’s will be walking in ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY on December 16 with Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelson and Ben Mendelsohn
