We have a little ways until THOR: RAGNAROK lands in theaters next November, but filming is underway in Australia and we have a few set pics to whet your appetite. As per usual, they're from a distance but we have what appears to be an Asgardian set. Also, word on the street is that Cate Blanchett's Hela is based near the top of these stairs. The headdress is absent, but take a look for yourselves!
Director Taika Waititi (HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE, WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS) is an inspired choice to take on what's largely considered the least-interesting solo films of the Marvel universe. Obviously the director is known for his humor, but I think what Marvel wants is for Waititi to inject a real sense of fun into a Thor adventure. Considering the cast involved, I'd say he's off to a great start!
