HACKSAW RIDGE follows WWII American Army Medic Desmond T. Doss (Andrew Garfield), who served during the Battle of Okinawa and refused to kill people, eventually becoming the first Conscientious Objector in American history to be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. This will mark the fifth film directed by Mel Gibson and you can check out the first poster for the film below.
It's been 10 years since Gibson's last directorial effort, APOCALYPTO, so I think it's safe to say that I'm VERY excited to see what he has in store for us. At this point, I think we're all eager to see him behind the camera again. The guy knows how to craft a story! Where there's smoke there's fire, so a trailer probably isn't too far behind…
HACKSAW RIDGE will open in theaters on November 4, 2016.
