Independence Day: Resurgence

With the sequel to INDEPENDENCE DAY just several weeks away, Roland Emmerich's latest film looks to offer us the biggest display of global destruction we've seen since…well…the last INDEPENDENCE DAY film. Although I don't count the original among my favourites, I'm actually quite looking forward its sequel; destruction porn, Jeff Goldblum, aliens, Bill Pullman, one-liners, and Brent Spiner. What's not to like? Twentieth Century Fox have released a brand-new clip from INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE featuring the the enormous alien mother-ship leveling some gravitational destruction down upon us.

If aerial dog fights are more your speed, Fox has got you covered there as well.

A synopsis for INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE:

We always knew they were coming back. After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.

INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE will hit theaters on July 24, 2016.
