Paramount Pictures is beginning to plant the seeds for the promotional campaign of TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS, hoping it'll grow into some box office fruit for them in June. Today they released an extended TV spot that is sure to start getting some play here and there, and, while it doesn't provide anything we haven't already seen before, having already gotten glimpses at Rocksteady, Bebop, Krang, Shredder, Casey Jones, schoolgirl Megan Fox, etc. – it's more about putting out the right vibe for prospective viewers that might check the flick out…
And I may be turning into one of them.
While not a fan of the first TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES reboot, OUT OF THE SHADOWS is growing on me. Call it a hunch, but I get the feeling that now that everyone's baggage about the Turtles' origins is out of the way, there might be a fun flick lurking in the sewers that could make for a decent few hours spent in a movie theater this summer. This TV spot further reinforces that, so take a look… Before long, maybe it'll start wearing you down, too.
