Get a look at the new & improved Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2

Actor Brian Tee, who scored an iconic-as-hell role as The Shredder in TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS, shared the first look of the new and improved villain over the weekend, which is looking much more aligned with the comics version rather than the mega Transformer/Silver Samurai version we got in the 2014 film. For one, we can see his eyes and it appears to actually be Tee in costume, rather than a computer generated nightmare with an arsenal of blades. Take a peek below…

I've always liked The Shredder. Maybe it's just the childhood nostalgia, the badass persona, or the shish kabob blades that would make The Predator proud, but he's a fun villain that makes for a great bane to our Heroes in a Half-Shell. While the first film in this newly rebooted franchise didn't quite knock it out of the park (I loved the turtles and Megan Fox, but kinda hated everything else) the sequel looks to pack a punch of that good ol' nostalgia I was talking about; Rocksteady, Bebop, Krang, Casey Jones, and a new, less digital Shredder. Much more promising and the trailers have been a blast, so I'm optimistic.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS hits theaters on June 3, 2016.
