Check out an alien and some props in this Omaze video for Star Trek Beyond

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Last week, the cast of STAR TREK BEYOND took to dancing on the bridge of the Enterprise in order to bring awareness to Omaze. You've undoubtedly heard this name pop up before if you've been following STAR WARS or Marvel lately, as they aim to raise money and awareness for charitable initiatives by offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences to those who donate. For a $10 donation, you are automatically entered to win a walk-on role in STAR TREK BEYOND. In addition to that, each week someone is randomly selected to form the To Boldly Go Crew. Those members will visit the set, hang with the cast, and watch as they film scenes from STAR TREK BEYOND.

The first winner has automatically been selected, and you can see writer/actor Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin fill you in on some of the details of the contest. As a bonus, they've thrown in some props from the film as well as a look at the first alien shown for BEYOND. Get your daily dose of wit below!

Props to Pegg and Co. for making these pretty damn entertaining! If studios are willing to work with Omaze to bring us more content, I'm all for it! For those of you interested in donating, you can check out the Omaze website here. Filming on STAR TREK BEYOND started around this time last month. Think there's any chance we'll see a trailer before the end of the year?

STAR TREK BEYOND opens in theaters on July 8, 2016.
